There are many different website builders and content management systems (CMS) out there. However, few provide custom coding options.

Despite this, there are options available. For example, WordPress is one of the most popular, if not the most popular, CMS. Installing a unique and user-friendly theme paired with custom coding can produce an impressive website, allowing you to turn prospective customers into the most loyal of clients.

This blog post will discuss more on custom coding within WordPress. Moreover, I will also discuss the downsides of other content management systems, including Squarespace and Wix.

What website builder options are out there?

As mentioned previously, there are various website builders out there. However, traditional website building options, such as Wix and Squarespace, provide limited design options. But this is to be expected. After all, it is still a website builder.

Anyways, other website builder options include:

  • Weebly
  • Shopify
  • Zyro
  • Bigcommerce

There are other alternatives out there too. However, these are just some of the most popular.

What are the benefits of choosing WordPress for custom coding?

Typically, I recommend WordPress to virtually all customers looking for a website that provides custom coding options.

Why?

This is because it offers custom coding, allowing you to create a more personalized and unique website tailored to your exact liking.

The process at JTS usually involves using a popular theme designed specifically for your industry, later editing, and playing around with this to match your business needs.

WordPress offers custom coding, unlike other website builders, enabling you (or JTS) to make those fine-tune adjustments.

Are there any downsides?

You’ll struggle to find other website builders aside from WordPress that offer custom coding. However, as with all content management systems, there are a few downsides, including:

  • coding can be challenging to learn (if doing it yourself)
  • You will need to source your own hosting
  • If custom code is to become broken, it can be more difficult and expensive to fix

In my opinion, the benefits of custom coding and a WordPress design far outweigh the cons, providing you with the tools to create a unique, responsive, and successful web design.

To conclude

If you’re looking for a new website that offers custom coding, then look no further than a custom website design.
