By now, you likely know the importance of social media for your business, or even if you just run your own website or blog. However, with this being said, very few businesses use a specific SEO or social media strategy.

Whenever you post on social media for your business or brand, you should consider how this will help benefit you. For example, is your post a controversial topic, is it sharable and suitable for all audiences, and is it mainstream and a current trend.

This article will discuss three strategies you can use to boost your SEO, helping you generate more traffic to your website while simultaneously becoming more credible (if you do things right!).

Use social media to help you generate new backlinks

Firstly, you can use social media to help generate new backlinks. You can do this by creating shareable content on a hot topic, for instance, whether or not fasting works, the current best electric vehicle, or how to live the life of a digital nomad. Share this on social media, perhaps using paid ads, and others are likely to see and share this themselves – this is the very basics of this strategy.

You can also reach out to other bloggers and social media pages asking if they’d be willing to add a link to their site or share the link on their page – more often than not, they will definitely consider doing so.

Increased brand and website visibility

This is less of a strategy, but posting on social media regularly helps increase brand and website visibility. Over time, this allows you to develop a well-established and credible brand, creating a new customer base and loyal following.

Try to post a minimum of two to three times a week, more if you can. However, do avoid spam posts but don’t be afraid to share posts and other info you think your audience will find this useful.

Form partnerships with other sites and bloggers

Finally, you can use social media as an outreach tool to form partnerships with other sites and bloggers. You can reach out by sending a direct message or commenting on a post looking for a collaboration.

This partnership can take place in numerous ways; for instance, this could be a guest post, sharing of content to each other’s pages, or something entirely different.
