I’d like to write a few words, just to be sweet
\nwords like ice water, amidst the days heat
\nsomething you can think about, at any given moment
\nduring the best and worst time, with courage or hopeless
\nit will strengthen your heart, make feeble knees stand
\nit will wipe your tears away, when nothing else can
\nit’s no secret, but it’s yours if you want
\nit’s Christ crucified, did you expect a silly pun?
\nHe thought of you
\nbeaten black and blue
\nHe could’ve stepped down, but He followed through
\nif your hope is in man, I do apologize
\nhe’s been conquered by death, death was conquered by Christ
\nif pain prevails, you’ve grown weary and faint
\nset your eyes on Jesus, the soul of man He saved
\n if you feel utter defeat
\nfaithless and weak
\nyou can open your mouth and speak, those things under your feet
\nsimply clinch your fists, close your eyes and believe
\nthe coming of Christ for His Bride will eternally be sweet
\nfor real!
