So many things in life regarding the future, pertaining to the past; the path of progress and the paths traveled.
\nRear view mirrors allow us to see what’s behind because it’s important to see where you came from. Using the same analogy; there are blind spots as we move forward. We change lanes and veer into an obstacle we couldn’t foresee. Likewise, night driving can often be blinding. A glare from the lights of an oncoming event or obstacle can temporarily hinder your foresight.<\/p>\n

Often things seem out of focus in life and unclear.<\/h2>\n

The last week things have seemed more clear and defined. \u00a0I actually know what I want and how to get it but often times it’s, “I have eyes but cannot see”. \u00a0The things I should practice to keep on the road;\u00a0check the blind spots and don’t stare directly into the light<\/strong>.
\nRadiohead (one of my all time favorite bands – <3 Thom Yorke)<\/em>, has a song, “All I Need” and one of the stanza’s says:<\/p>\n

I am a moth
\nWho just wants to share your light
\nI’m just an insect
\nTrying to get out of the night<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This is one of my favorite songs by Radiohead. \u00a0It touches the fabric of my being. \u00a0We’ve all been in a car driving and had someone in the passenger seat say, “look out”. \u00a0Someone who was there with us observing the same road unwind before us. \u00a0What do the lyrics have to do with a passenger? \u00a0I don’t want to be alone. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

I’m not “lonely” but there are occasions I feel this way. \u00a0I’m not alone I have my friends and my family. \u00a0I have my God. \u00a0I am however a moth or insect who wants to share the light with someone and get out of the night. \u00a0I’ve proven to myself it cannot just be anyone though. \u00a0That’s the complicated part. \u00a0If I just keep my eye on the road and focus on the destination one day I’ll look to the passenger and smile. \u00a0We will share that oncoming blinding light. \u00a0We’ll look out for each other when we have to change lanes. \u00a0We’ll get home safely and escape the night.
