Life Is Such

Life Is Such

“– He has struck something better than gold –”
“He may not see at once that he has barely scratched a limitless lode which will pay dividends only if he mines it of the rest of his life and insists on giving away the entire product.” 129:0

This reminds me of the Neil Young song, “Heart of Gold”.

“I’ve been a miner for a heart of gold. It’s these expressions that keep me searching for a heart of gold.”

This speaks to me personally.  I wrote in the margin of my second edition study, “Whatever comes from the life I live chasing or “mining” for a heart of gold must be my humble offering to God.  “Expressions keep me searching”, the process of recognition.”
For me it means that I bear fruit not for myself but for others as God see’s fit.  All the obstacles I overcome are not for my glory but for others through the works that God will perform through me.  I am simply a miner, a humble servant, the vessel of God.  When I make known my feelings and acknowledge my thoughts recognition of self takes place through a process of expression.  This expression keeps me searching and fearless, especially when I place my confidence in God.  When I openly take confidence in my brothers and sisters it’s an extra step but offers another level of humility.
